ABOUT US

Girls Auto Clinic is not just an auto repair shop — we are a movement. Founded to empower women and underrepresented drivers, Girls Auto Clinic combines certified automotive service with education, community, and a culture of trust. Featured on NPR's Fresh Air, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and in TIME, People, and the Washington Post, Girls Auto Clinic is a nationally recognized brand with a loyal customer base and a mission that matters.

Our technicians are certified professionals who deliver honest, transparent repairs — and our Service Advisor is the face of that promise. If you love people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want your work to mean something, you've found your place.

THE ROLE

As Service Advisor, you are the heartbeat of the front office and the bridge between our customers and our technicians. You translate vehicle symptoms into repair orders, guide customers through their service experience with warmth and confidence, and drive the shop's sales performance. You are not just selling services — you are building lifetime clients who trust Girls Auto Clinic completely.

WHAT YOU WILL DRIVE

•     Deliver a top-tier client experience from drop-off to pick-up

•     Hit weekly and monthly sales targets with honesty and excellence

•     Maintain a 50% gross profit margin on parts and labor

•     Earn at least one 5-star review per week (with your name mentioned)

•     Enroll at least one new VID (Very Important Driver) member per week

•     Maximize technician productivity through smart, efficient job scheduling

•     Keep all customer and vehicle data clean, complete, and current

•     Promote Very Important Driver memberships, specials, and Clutch Cafe engagement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales

•     Greet every client with warmth, professionalism, and Rock Star energy

•     Listen actively and ask the right questions to translate symptoms into accurate repair orders

•     Explain repairs and service recommendations clearly and confidently — no jargon, no pressure

•     Build genuine rapport and proactively schedule future services before the client walks out

•     Upsell maintenance packages, seasonal specials, and VID memberships that truly benefit the customer

•     Manage check-in, check-out, payments, complaints, and follow-up communications

•     Contact customers with updates during repair and obtain authorization for any additional work

•     Research vehicle history to inform repair plans and personalize recommendations

Shop Operations

•     Use shop management software (Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, or similar) to schedule appointments, create and close repair orders, manage vehicle history, send digital estimates, and collect signatures

•     Order parts, verify accuracy upon arrival, track returns, and ensure fast parts turnaround

•     Double-check all quotes, customer information, and pricing before closing any sale

•     Confirm every vehicle receives a quality control check before being returned to the client

•     Manage and update service menus and pricing sheets as needed

•     Process customer payments and obtain all required documentation

•     Perform opening and closing duties and maintain excellent shop presentation at all times

Culture & Leadership

•     Uphold and model GAC's Core Values — honesty, excellence, empowerment, and community

•     Lead the front office with calm, professional energy even when firefighting

•     Commit to continuous learning: attend trainings, read OEM service bulletins, sharpen your skills

•     Help every client feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout their visit

•     Engage Clutch Cafe guests and encourage social media check-ins and IG shoutouts

•     Represent GAC's mission in every interaction — you are the brand

WHAT YOU BRING

•     2+ years in a customer-facing role (automotive service experience preferred but not required)

•     Confident communicator who can simplify complex repairs without intimidating customers

•     Sales-minded with high integrity — you sell what is needed, not just what is easy

•     Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and tech-savvy with shop management software or CRM tools

•     Ability to thrive under pressure and juggle multiple priorities without losing your cool

•     Skilled at overcoming objections gracefully and comfortable with a no without giving up

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills for in-person, phone, and digital interactions

•     Growth mindset — willingness to undergo on-the-job training and keep learning

•     Calm in conflict; solutions-focused always

•     Bonus points if you love Philly, cars, or empowering women in nontraditional spaces

TOOLS YOU WILL USE

•     Shop Management Software: Mitchell1, Shop-Ware, or equivalent

•     Phone, SMS, and Email CRM tools

•     Basic POS and payment processing systems

•     Girls Auto Clinic's custom training playbooks and standard operating procedures
