Special Rosie the Riveter Car Care Workshop for Women’s History Month

The Girls Auto Clinic Car Care Workshop is sponsored by Renewable Fuels Association

Hello Shecanics Friends and Family!

What a fantastic day we had at our Car Care Workshop for Women’s History Month. We're still buzzing with excitement from all the fun, empowerment, and learning that happened on March 16th at The Community College of Philadelphia Career and Advanced Technology Center in West Philly hosted by Patrice and her Workshop Shecanics, Sandi, Dai and Kandi. Did you notice our new uniforms from Outerknown?

The energy was amazing right from the start! We started off watching a video highlighting women’s contribution in building the automobile. These automotive Rosies paved the way for Girls Auto Clinic today. Everyone looked awesome dressed as Rosie the Riveter, rocking our red SHECANIC bandanas. We knew right away it was going to be a special day.

Patrice wasted no time getting into the details of car maintenance. We got our hands dirty learning everything from checking fluid levels to fill tires with air. One of the best parts was when our facilitators drove each attendee's car into the lab for some hands-on learning. It was so cool to see all these amazing women getting under the hood of their own cars. We laughed, we learned, and we took some awesome photos behind our Rosie "We Can Do It" backdrop.

Speaking of photos, these were Rosie-inspired selfies! It was incredible to see women from all walks of life coming together to celebrate their love for cars and learning about car care.

And let's not forget about those cool Shecanic swag bags – who doesn't love a good car wash kit donated by BCA Bearings, handy tools to keep in the glove box and some Shecanic stickers? We also provided nail polish from the lovely La Par LifeStyle, and koozies from Renewable Fuels Association!

As the workshop wrapped up, we couldn't help but feel proud of what we accomplished together. We gained valuable knowledge and skills, made new friends, and strengthened our community.

We’re organizing more motivating workshops like this one, encouraging women for their car care and demonstrating to the world that women can achieve anything when it comes to cars. Until next time, stay empowered and keep shining bright! Book your spot in our next Car Care Workshop Plus today!

Thank you to our sponsors Renewable Fuels Association and Scott Home and Auto.

Thank you to Richard Saxton and The Community College of Philadelphia for hosting Girls Auto Clinic and our workshop at their facilities.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Swag Bags including BCA Bearings, Berrodin Auto Parts, Eastern Auto Parts Warehouse, La Par Lifestyle and RFA.
